Snow Monkeys (Nagano) and Gifu-ken...

Hi all,

We've taken nenkyu on Friday 12th Feb and for the 4 day weekend we plan to drive to Nagano and see the snow monkeys, and also see the famous old villages in Gifu-ken (namely Takayama and Shirakawa-go)

Any advice or tips about time frames for driving, accomodation etc would be GREATLY appreciated!
